As I prepare for some quiet reflection time before 2022 arrives, I have done a lot of reading to “prime my pump” as to what it is I want to reflect on to prepare for 2022 properly. I have already written my 2021 Manifesto, where I write everything about myself that I am proud of and what I have accomplished. This is a great motivational exercise.
Who Do You Want To Be in 2022?
The more I read from thought leaders the more questions I had, therefore my plan this year is to just take my list of questions and ponder them during my respite and see what is birthed during that time. I believe the answers I get from these questions will be quite powerful.
I thought I would share my questions with you and if any resonate with you I hope you have some time to ponder them and decide how you want to be in 2022. Once you know how you want to be, I believe you can accomplish so much more and with meaning and purpose.
Courage & Honesty
First, a few prerequisites.... Find your inner courage first and the desire to look honestly at yourself and you are ready to start.
Decide how you want to be next year. Is there any behavior(s) that are not so attractive, and that you might like to change? Have you felt any distance from a loved one or friend that just may be related to your behavior and not just theirs? Have you spent time rationalizing other people’s poor behavior that has negatively affected you? Is it really them?
What are your thoughts when you are feeling down or in a negative mode? Can you trace the source of those and any triggers you could work on? Circumstances can be difficult, but they don’t have to own your thoughts and peace of mind. This requires some concentrated effort.
Challenges
We seem to all have had some challenges during these pandemic times. Big transformations can occur during and after a crisis depending on how you process it. How did you handle your crises or challenges this year? With ease and grace? Or with struggle, poor communication, and bad feelings? Is there any forgiving that needs to be addressed?
A Shift
How do we shift our thinking that will take us beyond a place where we do a lot of judging, blaming, experiencing fear and negativity so that we can move into the light and goodness a new year can offer? What barriers do you hold that stop you from feeling joy in the moment without worrying about the past and fearing the future – neither of which you can do anything about.
Are there any behaviors of selfishness, neediness, controlling others, anger, or arrogance that need to be addressed? We are human and experience a wide range of positive and negative emotions and that is normal. By taking this courageous and honest inventory of yourself though, you may become more aware of your inner Magnificent Self ready for a great 2022. That is my wish for you!
This inner work is so important and many want to do this self-reflective work but find it hard to do alone. Getting a partner, a group of like-minded women, an accountability partner, or a confidant is a great way to go. If you need more support, feel free to contact us: Chat with Us!
